Meet Boss and Laura Lambert of Bosses Pizza

Today we’d like to introduce you to Boss and Laura Lambert.

Bosses was founded in 2004 by Damon “Boss” and Laura Lambert in Lake Worth, Texas.

Please kick things off for us, where does this story begin?
We were tired of working jobs we saw no future in and wanted to be in control. After taking a run down, old building, we turned it into a thriving business. We had the recipes and the drive to make our goal happen. Today Bosses are spread across the state. We believe in good food and we want to serve nothing but the best to everybody that walks through our doors. We do not have any cookie-cutter stores and try to create a fun family atmosphere. We would like to continue to grow and bring Bosses to every town possible.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
If it was easy, everybody would do it. There have been ups and downs just like with anything else. But we worked through the hard times and have come out stronger than ever. Those first few years were the hardest trying to find who we were as a small company in a diverse industry, but we found our market and now we have the most loyal following anybody could ask for.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Bosses Pizza – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We specialize in our food. We make everything how I (Boss) like my own food. People cut corners sometimes, but I never want to lose any customers over cutting back on ingredients. We are mainly known for our pizza. Which comes with our hand rolled crust or we can do thin as well. We do not skimp on any toppings. To top it off, we cook our pizza in a brick oven. It might take a little longer, but the quality is worth the extra wait. We also have wings that are made the way they are supposed to be, fried. And burgers that are cooked on an old flat top grill that are to die for. Our Ranch and Red River Ranch is our own recipe made in house every day.

I am proud to see people that come back in to eat day after day. We have people call us back after they leave just to tell us how much they enjoyed eating there and they will be back in the next day. Sometimes simpler is better and our simple menu allows us to bring out the quality in every meal.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Stay the course. We would like to have a Bosses in any town that wants one. We are looking into franchising more so that is always an option to grow. But we still have to be on top of our game and cannot get too far ahead of ourselves. Take care of the day to day and it will pay off in the long run.
