Meet Brad Clark of ActionCOACH of North Texas in Rockwall

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brad Clark.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My education is in Laboratory Medicine. I worked in hospital laboratories for a few years but wasn’t passionate about it. My passion lay in leadership. I went to work for the American Red Cross in 1999 managing a department of 50 people (including 5 supervisory staff) across Texas and Oklahoma. In 2004, I started my sales career. I worked for a couple of companies selling large laboratory equipment. During the course of that, I advanced to work national accounts and mentor younger salespeople. In 2012, I assumed control of a territory of 8 professional sales reps. I managed the P&L for that region as well as recruiting and leading sales professionals. I finished my sales career in August 2016 having recruited and trained successful sales teams across the southern US.
I turned my attention to mentorship and coaching of a small business when I partnered with ActionCOACH Global. We are a global franchise with more than 800 coaches in 85 countries. We have been in the industry since 1992 and are widely recognized as the world’s #1 Coaching Firm.

Has it been a smooth road?
No road that involves growth is a smooth one. There have been some major adjustments along the way. It’s going to sound funny but I had to learn how to learn again. I had been stagnant in my other roles for a while and stopped growing.

So, I had to learn how to grant myself time to learn. You have to work harder on yourself than you do your job. Your business or job will only go as far as your level of incompetence.

What do you do, what do you specialize in, what are you known for, etc. What are you most proud of as a company? What sets you apart from others?

As a small business owner myself, I know what it is like to worry about the day-to-day survival of the business and making the amount of money needed to run my business and personal life. I understand what it’s like to put in long hours and wonder what happened to the dreams and vision I had for my life and future.

I am here to help you change all of that. We will work together to redefine dreams and vision, and then we will put into place the necessary systems, strategies, and tactics that will allow an owner to turn their business venture into a thriving, successful one.

We define a successful business as: a commercial, profitable enterprise that works without you. As your Business Coach, I will function as an unreasonable friend who tells it like it is and keeps owners working on the path toward their dreams.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
As more of the market shifts from large companies employing people and more small businesses being created, the need for coaching will become more and more necessary. Our educational system does a great job training our people in a trade or profession but there is very little in the way of teaching a business owner how to create a thriving and prosperous business. Business is designed to give you more life.

Too many businesses fold every year for very avoidable reasons. We believe in world abundance and that can be achieved by successful businesses contributing to their communities.
