Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandie Pyburn-Smith.
Brandie, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
A vision God gave me in a dream. I saw STGP but didn’t know what it meant. After two years, God revealed it to me at church. My pastor said,” God’s Plan and I immediately thought Sisterhood Through God’s Plan. I started the group on Facebook with 54 women over an eight-month period we increased to 490 women and are currently still growing. In November 2019, God led my heart to Incorporate us as a Non-Profit Christian Organization.
Although we have yet to fully get off the ground, we empower and motivate one another daily. We share inspiration post. We have a podcast on podbean with daily devotional. We also host REAL TALK on Fridays LIVE in the group. These ladies motivated me to write a book about my struggle with depression and it was just recently published” The Mess That Gifted The Messenger.” I’ve had the pleasure of traveling and speak at events. God’s definitely opening doors that no man can shut.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Absolutely not at all! But through the grace and mercies of God, I have found ways to balance through all my brokenness. It’s always hard to see through the clouds and the storms are always changing, but if you put your hand in God’s hand, he’ll carry you through. This journey has been very bumpy and nausea at times, but I believe I could go through it again if it was necessary.
I’ve lost so many family members, friends, and struggled with reality in my own life. I had sickness went through four emergency surgeries and three of them I almost died. I’ve had to adjust to things I wasn’t raised around and love people that didn’t support me. I spent many nights at home in my closet, crying out to God because I didn’t understand why I had to hurt the way I did. Somehow through prayer, God showed me that it was all for his glory and I would reap the benefits of being Faithful in due Season. My pain had a purpose because my assignments were all necessary.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Sisterhood Through God’s Plan, Inc. story.
Sisterhood Through God’s Plan, Inc. is my 1st business, which is a Non- Profit Christian Organization we empower women through Christ while promoting their business and mentoring them to become the Godly Women we have been called to be. B.O.S.S. Marketing is my 2nd business. We provide marketing tools seminars and training to help people become successful in their careers as Business Owners.
International Motivational Speaker is the 3rd business I travel from different cities speaking to women, students, businesses, churches, organizations and groups. Demonstrating Leadership building confidence and providing tactics to help one stay on track. I speak about God and how we can proclaim our love for God through Missionary work and beliefs.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I have had my share of both good and bad luck. I think more good than bad but absolutely experienced both and it’s been a lesson to remain humble through all of it.
