Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Biggs.
Brandon, before we jump into specific questions about your work, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
It all started for me back in Tyler, TX when I was around the age of 4 or 5. My uncle was a big lowkey nerd who would draw all kinds of anime characters and what not and I’d try to emulate him. He also rapped at the time as well and my mom has always had such a diverse taste in music ranging from Spanish music to hip hop to Nickleback lol.
Has it been a smooth road?
Life for me has been eventful to say the least. I did a lot of moving as a kid which would I guess help improve my friend making or as I would currently call it, networking skills. It also helped broaden my view of people as well as the overall environment which has had a huge impact on my art.
Please tell us about your work.
I would say that I specialize in rapping but some would probably say my art including my clothing designs are on top in terms of my talents. A few months ago, I dropped my very first project, Fish, on all streaming platforms and I’d honestly have to say getting it out there is my proudest moment in my art career so far. It took so much out of me to even record some of those songs due to how real and deep into my personal life they are. That transparency to me is probably what sets me apart from other artists. I’m very open.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
The city is filled with great talent and supportive people. If someone is starting out, it’s here where they’ll probably be able to connect with people and gain a bunch of confidence with how supportive the people here can be.
