Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon “OG Byrd” Henry.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I came from the rough streets in pleasant grove, sleeping on the floor from my granny house to my aunt & uncles house to my momma friends house, it was very hard, but my mom made a way & we were barely making it. I always loved music, I knew from the day I was with my uncle & his friends in the studio I was destined to do it. I have been making music since 2013-2014, but I took it seriously in 2015. I took it seriously after my two closest brothers died, Kaiden & Monty. Afterward, my granny passed & I was depressed for a minute, but I started to turn up with the music & putting out dope visuals with my brother bwoods, I pray to God every day to make a way that I make it
& I can provide my family. Making music & been on stage is what I want to do forever as long as I’m living.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Struggling in the household growing up, seeing my family struggle made me grind harder & harder every day. Honestly, not having fans & no one supporting your music has always been hard. But I found a way to find my own wave & let fans know I’m different & authentic from other rappers and I can rock a show.
Please tell us about OG Byrd.
I’m a rapper/ Artist “OG BYRD” & a brand ambassador for #RFL ROOFLESS CLOTHING my cousin ladauntea Rap name “Keon” is the CEO. I’m proud because we’re a family, lol. We’re so close, we’re brothers & we know each other so well, so we both know what we want from each other. Yeah, we fight, but we talk it out & figure it out and get the job done, we are going to make it to the top together. My music is a different wave from others that’s what makes me different, it’s more like underground reality rap what I live on a daily & everybody can relate to it
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Save more money, invest more money into my rapping career, network & travel more & started the clothing line a little bit earlier, so people know who we are across the globe right now in 2019. But in Gods will they going to know who OG Byrd is, I promise.
