Today we’d like to introduce you to Bree Redwine.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Bree. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I ran CC/Track in school and always loved running. I received a Fashion Merchandising and landed at Esprit De Corp as the Visual Director DB continued down that path for years with a ton of travel. Marriage and kids came into the mix so I had to slow down the travel a tad and started my own consulting company and then started an online business that landed me in Rachael Ray’s magazine as one of her fav’s (salt & pepper shakers and no I’m not kidding) That didn’t pay the bills so I looked at working for Luke’s Locker and I loved the running community band clothes that was a win-win. I ran this social run group at Luke’s called the Pint Striders that had us in many magazines and newspapers due to the specialty of the run.
I was introduced to Tanna Wood to have the Pint Striders become ambassadors for Run Project and about ten months after the introduction to Tanna she offered me the job as Community Outreach Coordinator for Run Project and Racing Systems. I have been working for the company now for over a year and half.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The struggles came from being a working mom and taking a break and having to bounce back into the workforce that can change on a dime. You must stay abreast of everything from computers to software to fashion to social media because it’s a fast and furious world out there!
Please tell us about Run Project.
Run Project is about bringing people together who love to compete, participate, and volunteer. Since our first race in 1994, millions of racers have crossed our finish lines and raised over a million dollars for our beneficiaries. We have ten races a year that we own throughout Texas. Our motto is Run Local-Give Local.
Racing Systems – We are experts at race management, course design, permits, registration, logistics, and event production. We can handle your event from start to finish. We use online registration tools crafted for event directors and race timers. Our registration software is optimized for individuals and teams and features the ability to monitor important race information, data, and registrations.
Race logistics are not easy. Whether it’s obtaining permits, coordinating with local law enforcement, or building the timeline for participants and volunteers, we would love to manage all the details of your race!
I’m most proud of the authenticity of our being. We truly care and are very passionate about our runners and their experience with us. What sets us apart is what I’m most proud of-Authenticity.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Going to the beach and to my Uncle Bills ranch. I also loved riding my motorcycle at 11-12 years old.
