Today we’d like to introduce you to Brent Barge.
Featured as a guest on two of the hottest radio programs in the Southwest Region; “The Sun-Debut Show” with DJ Steve Nice on K104fm and “Street Heat” hosted by DJ Big Bink and the Dallas legend D.O.C. on 97.9 The Beat, B-Eazy unleashed the smash title “Dirty” to eager listeners. Soon after, “Before U See Me”, “I.H.O.P. (Strip Club Song)” & “No Feedback” from his debut album “By Any Means” were soon to follow.
To add another feather to his hat, B-Eazy shares production credits on two noteworthy projects; one including a commercial highlighting the 10th Anniversary of K104fm’s Skip Murphy & The Morning Team, and also the Dallas Mavericks Playoff Anthem performed and played at The American Airlines Center during their NBA Finals run.
While accomplishing more than most independent artists dream in a lifetime, B-Eazy has released 3 certified albums to date: “B-Eazy: Da’ Businessman”, “Produced By B-Eazy, Vol. 1” & “By Any Means (Reloaded)” all produced entirely by himself! In addition to 4 mixtapes: “The Best of B-Eazy”, “Detox, TX: The Death of Dance Music”, “Big Business 2K11” & “B-Eazy Duz It: No One Can Do It Better” plus numerous guest appearances found playing throughout the streets of Dallas, TX, much remains to be seen & heard from this multi-talented, musical prodigy.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Taking the independent route has been a learning experience. I went from wanting to be an artist, to actually owning my own studio! I wanted to know what went down behind the scenes: how contracts worked, publishing splits, financial statements, etc. hence I graduated from UT Arlington with a degree in Business Finance, Having a team in place makes it easy, yet doing it yourself is the hard part!
Please tell us about B-Eazy Productions.
My company B-Eazy Productions is a recording Studio located in North Dallas, established in June 2011.
As an engineer, I’m most proud of working with up & coming local artist, because it helped catch the attention of some major artist including Rick Ross, Ryan Leslie, Bryson Tiller, Young Buck, Da Brat, The Outlawz, Memphitz & Yung Wun from The Rough Ryders. What sets B-Eazy apart from artist/producers is… I’m about to bring Tupac Back. If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I wouldn’t change a thing.
