Brent didn’t set out to be a “finance guy.” His passion for credit and finance started through his own financial misfortunes. After experiencing the power of credit, budgeting and savings he began to speak inspiration and wisdom into his family and friends. Watching their lives transform inspired him to learn more and continue to serve.
Now, a Certified Financial Coach, Brent is committed to helping each and every person he encounters live the limitless life they desire and deserve. Together, he and his wife Sheala have a beautiful 7-year-old daughter that is all about Cheating Debt. Brent’s personal interest include Financial Empowerment, Stocks, Technology, Music and everything related to Travel.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We know that we work in an industry that sometimes carries a less than forgiving reputation, but we are determined to create our own legacy! We work hard to be a group of individuals who can be an asset to our community by volunteering our time and sharing the information that we wish someone would have shared with us.
Being a Non -Profit our biggest challenge has been keeping our business costs low in order to keep our prices at an all-time low. So we have come up with creative ways to offer better service at a lower price point that all of our competitors.
Please tell us about Cheating Debt.
Cheating Debt is a Non-Profit Credit Service Organization founded in 2016 with the mission to Serve, Educate and Empower people to take control of their credit and finances. We specialize in removing collections, establishing credit, budgeting, and credit education.
Cheating Debt was conceived with the notion of “I wish someone would have taught me that before.” Cheating Debt as a cumulative brings decades of private banking, mortgage, managerial expertise, business banking, customer service, client relations, and stock market experience to thrust us forward as we create our own path.
At the helm of our company is a group of individuals whom together have been able to give several clients the opportunity to; own their own home, finance their own vehicles and have the tools to make a realistic all-encompassing budget.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite childhood memory is starting my “own business” of selling mixed CD’s to classmates when burners first came out. At the time laws hadn’t been established to determine it was illegal. Looking back it shows that I’ve always had an entrepreneurial mindset.
