Today we’d like to introduce you to Brett Kroh.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Brett. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I grew up in Fort Worth and went to Texas Wesleyan and majored in Management and Information Systems. Upon graduating in 2006 and I went straight into telecommunications work. I enjoyed the work and running sales teams. Then my life changed when I met a former mentor of mine and began networking with prominent players in the Oil and Gas industry in 2012. I loved the personalities people I met was inspired by them. They showed me the next level to business and my whole world opened up to bigger and better possibilities. Then in 2019, I officially launched my own Exploration & Production company, Kroh Exploration. Kroh Exploration currently identifies properties and reworks under developed wellbores in North Texas.
Has it been a smooth road?
I’ve definitely been through it all! The worst of it has been the fall-out from my association with my aforementioned former mentor. While the wells we worked on produced, I discovered that one of the principals had some past questionable business dealings and in the oil business association with that sort of thing can be damaging to your name. I left the company immediately and founded Kroh Exploration but my biggest struggle has been separating myself from that and establishing a company built right from the ground up. I learned a lot from my former, including what to do and what to watch out for.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
Kroh Exploration oversees all facets of creating a project from prospecting to land/title, legal, engineering all the way to production. We specialize in bringing industry quality deals to the retail investor. I’m most proud of the transparency and integrity we are dedicated to. It’s rare to find such honesty in this industry and we take great pride in being upfront and not misleading anyone. The global situation we’re in currently has resulted in many oil and gas companies closing because they over-leveraged themselves and we take advantage of depressed prices.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I love DFW! North Texas, in general, has a shining past of successful Oil and gas ventures. I would say that due to the tight-knit community, it’s one of the top places in the country to be if you want to work in Oil and Gas.
