Meet Brittany Jones of DFW

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Jones.

Hi Brittany, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
One day I was asked, what can you see yourself doing everyday that makes you happy.? My response was simple “helping people” and from that day forth Help is Help was Born. I started by not worrying about the money or how it was going to come together ,just get out there and help. I would go to all sides of town , Dallas, Fort Worth, Mckinney etc to help and also network. Our goal is to go places that are unseen. The homeless and people dealing with poverty may not have a car ,bus fare or other resources. We are mobile at times to ensure we reach as many people as possible, We also provide free resources such as health care, job placement, trading skills , and events to help you with your endeavors.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No road is smooth when you are doing Gods will. You will see pot holes , speed bumps, but its humbling. It gives you a chance to slow down and gain structure.. As a non-profit with out a 501c3 we network and use what we are blessed with. Through networking,we have obtain a partnership with Bombas socks, Community Auctions,MLK rec center and countless other nonprofits. When your business doesn’t make a profit as far as money’s concerned,it can be challenging at times but God always makes a way. When your not concerned about money, a thank you,or recognition ,watch how blessing start pouring. We are a accept you as you are organization! Our organization maybe different in ways and move different than others. We help because others may see the homeless ,people dealing with poverty or any one getting out of jail looking for a fresh start as less than human begins ,yet we see them as a child of God. The beautiful thing is the peace and energy you feel from helping others while wanting nothing in return. I want to say Thank you in Remembrance of our Help is Help Angels Sharon Wells and Tonja Henderson 🙏🏾🙏🏾

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Starting off I was in the music scene since 2005. I still rap , write songs, poems , movies and also perform spoken word. The skills and knowledge I have obtained I apply to all my events and helping others. Experience is the key to life! I never knew I was being shaped to start my own organization. I’m thankful for the good and bad ,they were all lessons needed. I gained Networking skills, event planning, being a MC ,hosting events. This opened the door for me to meet people ,network, organize, and run my own events .I’m free to show my personality, love and help others without any restriction or micro managing. I’m a Renaissance woman , jack of all trades. I will break any glass ceiling,

What does success mean to you?
Being able to elevate and Grow. When I can hear the lord speak and allows me to speak and bless others. Having a wonderful mother Ronee Thompson who believed in me and became my board member. My family and countless volunteers that would come to help, just to help. I know Life can be hard, especially when our spirit tells us something different then our own thoughts and feelings.
What we want to do in life and our calling is different. Success is not measured by money , but peace. If you want to be successful, be still and listen to the Lord. Success does not equal money, peace is priceless.
