Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Woods.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I am young mother of two. I move to Dallas in 2016 from Louisiana with no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I always wanted a business, but I just didn’t know what kind of business. My entire life people have always told me I was pretty even times when I thought I was the ugliest. That is how I came up with my business name going through the toughest times but still maintaining to look the prettiest. When Covid hit the world, I knew that I had to execute the vision. I stepped out on Faith without a plan and started my business. I started right in my living room; I can remember me packing my tote of clothes going out to different locations in the Oak Cliff area selling clothes. It was a great experience; I met so many great people while being a mobile boutique at the time. As the year went by business start growing and I knew then what was next for me to do. I prayed to God for a location and October 1, 2021, I received keys to my suite inside red bird small in Oak Cliff area. I’m grateful for the ups and down and for letting me not give up on my vision.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I faced many obstacles and challenges, not having the support the right resources while trying to operate a business. The worse challenge I have face was figuring out who was for me and really wanted to see me exceed. We can be surrounded by people that don’t want to be doing better than them. It hurts knowing people will never support you how you support them.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next, you can tell us a bit more about your business.
I want to make a difference in the community let every woman, little girl, teenager know no matter what you go through in life you will always be Pretty. Always walk with your head high and continue to be the pretty girl that God made you to be.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Your family and friends will not support you like you think they will. God will expose who is for you, He had to show me many of times that they will not support you.
