Meet Brittini Johnson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittini Johnson.

Hi Brittini, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
On February 4, 2020 I got motivated, with no delay I grabbed my journal and I started putting a business plan together jotting down all the necessary steps I would need to take in order to become the Black successful business owner I wanted t0 be. I was unsure where to begin and with no help, no college degree, and no business background, I knew that in order to get my business off the ground I would have to put in double the work to reach my goals and maximum my potential.

I am a Dallas native, I grew up in Pleasant Grove, in a two parent household. As a kid, I was always into fashion. I always took pride in what I wore and I enjoyed shopping. Retail therapy was always my favorite thing to do on the weekends growing up as a teenager. I often daydreamed that I could have my own store or even design my own clothes but in reality, by age 23 I had become a single mother and decided to part ways from El Centro College located here in Downtown Dallas.

After working in corporate America over the next 9 years in February 2020 I was laid off from work due to the pandemic.

The thought of having my own Boutique had crossed my mind again. At that very moment, I knew it had been placed on my heart. I knew that the timing would never be perfect and investing in myself was risky but I was willing to step out on faith and take a chance at success. With little money and no room for mistakes, I was determined to create a business I would be proud of.

Today, I now have a regular clientele base that shops weekly and never misses a sale. I am now gaining new customers and repeat customers from all over the United States. I am overly determined to be successful and I will continue to pride myself and my business on customer service and personal experiences with my customers.

The dream now is to open up a physical store when the Covid 19 pandemic is under control and allows for this expansion of my business.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I created what I call a business prayer and I asked for guidance. I then started to put the work behind my prayer. I started to brand, I started to make a name for myself. I created content and starting to generate a social following for my up and coming launch of my online store, Level B Boutique 0n Instagram and Facebook. Level B Boutique is an online store that provides quality and trendy Women’s fashion at a reasonable price.

I launched my business and we elevated with every sale. I provide a personal experience with each of my customers whether it’s with a smiling face during our curbside pickup option, or by a personal thank you card located in your package that was personally packed and shipped directly from me to you for your convivence. After a few months, the demand for new inventory was starting to pick up and I was beginning to get online recognition for my fast shipping, great customer service, and friendly shopping experience, This was great but with the lack of business skills, I knew I had so much catching up to do. In a rapidly growing city like Dallas, I would have to stay up to date with all the hottest trends and give my consumers an easier more efficient way of shopping. So I launched a website (www.levelbboutique.com), where my customers could now shop online like they would at any other major retailer and social media usage was no longer required.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
You have to have faith and put in hard work, without either a dream is just that, a dream.
