Meet Brock Taylor

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brock Taylor.

Brock, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I come from a small town just a few miles east from Dallas, known as Sunnyvale. I grew up an athlete, always traveling and on the road trying to gain as much exposure in the sports world as possible, which eventually led to a brief college career. I grew up in a very divided family that was full of self-made, new money business owners on one side and a heavy military background on the other.

Being the product of this particular background, I personally feel as if I was blessed with the perfect amount of professionalism, street-smart, and character that has allowed for me to have become as successful as I have. I come from a very supportive yet, a bit of an abusive background. So whatever I made of myself, I had to earn it. I grew up feeling as if I would always have someone to prove, no matter what it was that I was involved with. At times it was definitely rough, both physically and mentally, but it never broke me completely. If anything, it created the man I am today and I’m proud of the man I’ve become.

Has it been a smooth road?
Definitely not smooth. Everyone in their lives makes good and bad decisions and I’ve had my fair share of both. Not everyone is blessed with a giant family of supportive beings that want nothing but the best for you, and I fit right into that category. I’d rather not go into details, due to the fact that I currently don’t have the time, but eventually, it will happen.

Alright – so let’s talk business. What else should we know about your work?
I am a REALTOR® with RE/MAX Landmark in Rockwall, TX and reside in Sunnyvale, TX. I work with both buyers and sellers in both residential and commercial real estate transactions. I have my youth to my advantage, receiving my Real Estate license at just 24 years of age, though many who know me would say that I’m an old soul. One of my most proud moments as an agent is the fact that I have yet to have listed a home or piece of property that wasn’t under contract in under two weeks.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see my industry growing substantially on a daily basis. In the next 5-10 years, real estate will become a hot commodity in younger generations, due to the fact that it’s where the money is. Millennials, though we tend to get a bad wrap, have unlimited potential with the right entrepreneurial tendencies and having access to the unlimited marketing recourse that is the internet/social media/etc.
