Today we’d like to introduce you to Brooke Pellegrini.
Brooke, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I got started into makeup and social media in late 2017 when I was sitting on the floor of my college dorm room. I was playing with my makeup brushes and an eyeshadow palette and I remember taking a photo of it and posting it on Instagram just for fun, that night, I decided I was going to create an entire account just for beauty. I needed a new hobby to escape everything that had been going on in my life. Little did I know that creating an Instagram, would lead me to where I am today. An ‘influencer’, a makeup artist, a model, and a role model.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Life has not always been a smooth road. Whether it has been dealing with my mental health issues or my physical health. There are days where I cannot even get out of bed because I am doubled over in pain or I am too deep in my thoughts and all I want to do is sleep. Even things in my personal life. Everyone struggles in their day to day life. I am an open Christian on my platforms, I work with Christian based brands all of the time, which I receive hate for constantly but I do not care. I believe that I was put on this earth to help others, whether that be to help someone figure out how to apply the perfect wing to complete their smoke-eye or to just let them know they are not alone, I want to be there to help.
Please tell us about Beautybybrooketyler.
Beautybybrooketyler is me! I am currently on track to graduate to become a medical aesthetician. A medical aesthetician specializes in advanced skin treatments. They typically perform advanced facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and various laser treatments such as laser hair removal, skin rejuvenation, and minor vascular treatments. As a student currently, I specialize in facial treatments! I am also a freelance makeup artist outside of school! What sets me apart from others is my drive and my passion. I got into makeup and skincare because I want to help others feel beautiful. I know how hard it is to feel ugly on the inside, so if a facial or a red lip and a bold eyeshadow look can help put a smile on someones face, I am going to do that for them! I do not care if I make millions of dollars, all I care about is that I help someone feel beautiful.
I also own my own company Odd Cosmetics on Etsy. “Be crazy, be bold, be ODD.” is our motto. Makeup is an art form and I love seeing people use my glitters to create their looks! I call my customers and my promoters/affiliates my ‘oddballs.’
