Today we’d like to introduce you to Byanca Brocks Kelley.

Byanca, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I graduated from Ogle beauty school back in 2014. I worked from my home for a while doing facials and lashes, until my little one got older. My husband pushed me to get out and use my license in a salon Setting so I listened and I worked for a spa chain located in some Walmarts. I did that for a few months until I got an opportunity to work at an eyelash extension salon. I had no experience but they had a training course, so I jumped in. I really wanted to add this skill to my list of abilities. This was a really hard skill to learn but I did it!!! I worked there for over a year. Now I’m on my own trying to establish my business in Arlington I’m located in a salon suite but I’m excited about the possibilities.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
There have definitely been some struggles!!! The first was I couldn’t get clients to actually come in to have a service done. I went out in the nearby area to hand out fliers, I gave some gift certificates away to the local managers in the nearby stores! It seemed none of it was working lol. I’m thankful for my struggles they will make my success that much sweeter I just know it!

We also offer several lash services, lash extensions, lash lifts, lash tinting, and individual lash application. We also offer microblading, and lip stick tattoo as well. I also offer mole and age spot removal, micro needling, facials and much more! Come in and have a look at the menu!

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Save up some money for the down time in the early stages of business. Lol takes a while to build up your clientele.
