Byron and Taivion, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Byron and Taivion decided to partner and create Balanced Barbers during the pandemic of 2020. Byron began his haircut journey in December of 2018. Taivion began cutting hair a little over six years ago.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Starting our enterprise has been somewhat smooth. The biggest hurdle was basically getting out of our own way and having full faith and confidence that we would do well.

Balanced Barber is a part of Balanced Group LLP. We specialize in personal grooming services for adults and children. We are known for the quality of service that we provide and the value that we bring to each client that comes to visit our location. What sets us apart from others is our purpose and our high levels of service. We are dedicated to servicing people and growing in every aspect of the art of barbering: customer service, professionalism, and especially skill.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is defined as being happy or satisfied with where you are and what you do. We both have our own agenda for success but realizing that a balanced lifestyle is what is needed to achieve that, we help one another out and we hold one another accountable in the areas where we see one another lacking in order to achieve success.
