Today we’d like to introduce you to Cadre Creatives.
Hi Cadre Creatives, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Coming from two different ethnic cultures, we both grew up with a knack for creativity and love for great design.
1 (Beti) started my schooling and design career in Vancouver, Canada. My path was always clear as I had my eyes set on hospitality design. I joined a well-known, Canadian restaurant group where I learned about all things food & beverage. After that, I then continued my career in restaurant design by joining a local, Dallas-based restaurant design firm.
I (Edgar) am a Texas native that grew up in a small town. While design was limited there, I knew there was a huge opportunity to show and explore a world of color and great design. I followed my heart and moved to Dallas to begin my studies in architectural design. From there, I then went on to work for various firms where I gained experience in residential design, hospitality design, and food/beverage design.
We eventually met and while working together, and developed a bond over our love and passion of design. After working together closely for many years, we then parted ways and pursued our careers individually. As time went by, we realized that we had a special dynamic and unbreakable bond, where we then decided to reunited and do things our way–that’s when Cadre Creatives was born.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s definitely been an adventure. We think every new business owner faces some sort of struggle along the way. Whether it has been figuring out how to obtain new projects, marketing, or administrative tasks, it’s definitely been a learning curve.
Even though, things can get overwhelming, we’ve managed to push ourselves forward and keep on fighting. We have learned that this is a long road and not to get derailed by the speed bumps. We don’t take the obstacles too seriously and have adopted our new motto, “it is, what it is”.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
In a creative field, find a job at a firm where you can stand behind the work and design. If you are not creatively fulfilled, you will not be able to grow as a designer.
