Today we’d like to introduce you to Cameron Lawson.
Hi Cameron, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born in Jackson, Mississippi, relocating to Dallas at just 6 months, as my parents wanted to surround my sisters and I in an environment with ample opportunities to be successful and create something of ourselves. I started my early days playing soccer for 13 years, in and out of other activities such as Girl Scouts, All-City Choir, Ballet, Tumbling, and Basketball! I got my start in 2014, creating content on Instagram as something fun to pass time. Surprisingly, I had an account that rose to around eight thousand followers in a short amount of time, I knew this was something I wanted to continue the rest of my journey.
Fast Forward to 2025, I’ve been creating beauty and lifestyle content on TikTok since 2020, as well as started modeling in June of 2024, after graduating with my Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science from Oklahoma State University, go pokes!! I got the opportunity of walking my first New York Fashion Week last month! It was truly an eye-opening experience for new beginnings on what doors I want to continue to open for myself, and going to New York City for the first time was so much fun!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Far from it! I suffer from severe ADHD, so I’ve come to realize in life that things don’t come very easy for me, I’ve learned to accept that because I feel like that’s what motivates me to work harder, and it makes my journey so much sweeter in the long run.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Aside from modeling, I am currently putting my degree to use as a Veterinary Technician, hoping to one day get into a Graduate program to obtain my masters, and head to Vet School to become a Veterinarian. Animals hold a very special place in my heart since I was younger, and I knew I wanted to pursue something along the lines of the Veterinary field!
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was pretty shy and to myself growing up! I wasn’t very outspoken as I am now, and my parents used to describe me as an “old soul” HAHA! At 5 I liked listening to Nina Simone, The Fugees, and other older artists. I’ve always had an ear for Music and being versatile in the genre’s I listen to. My oldest sister has me on ALL the y2k hits as a kid, so I have lots of love for Britney Spears and Danity Kane too.
