Today we’d like to introduce you to Cari Avit.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Cari. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I grew up in Long Island, New York in a big Italian family. I am a third-generation Italian from Naples Italy. As the granddaughter of an amazing cook, my Italian grandmother, Josephine, taught me the art of Italian food.
I moved to Texas in 2005, where I continued the tradition to entertain. In 2012, I began my professional training at Collin College where I received my Culinary Degree and Certification in Pastry Arts. I have worked in hotels, universities, and catering.
After working in a corporate setting, I realized my desire to go back to her original passion… cooking for professional and busy families.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, I made mistakes along the way learning ins and outs of the Personal Chef business. Getting my name out there, and learning social media and marketing.
