Carlton, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Expanding on the creativity that young men exhibited on NBA and NFL Draft Nights, I wanted to see if the same Alma Mater/Favorite Team passion shown through t-shirts and caps could be elegantly done with business suits and blazers. Using my connections as a former player and coach, I sought feedback from trusted people in the sports industry and it was very well received. Tried a few different approaches to start but eventually settled on what you see now as REVEAL SUITS! Had to do a crash course on the trademark/licensing and manufacturing processes… but we are in full swing!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Certainly not a smooth road at all. The grind of starting a completely new brand from the ground floor has many challenges – capital, gaining the trust of clients who have been using another provider for years, acceptance of the concept from Universities – but you fight through them all if it’s worth it to you.
