Today we’d like to introduce you to Carly Alexis.
Carly, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
For years, all I ever knew was having children. Over the course of 14 years, I had six children. In the process, I forgot about who I was and my dreams. My main focus was on putting my children first. Finally, one night, a friend reached out and asked me to submit photos to Model Mayhem. So, I did. And within 48 hours, at least 5 photographers have reached out to me to shoot. From then on, I free lanced as a hobby and even was apart of two episodes that were filmed in the DFW area. First, I was an interested buyer in Season 6 of Texas Flip n’ Move. In the second film, I was in the episode of The Scandal that Made Me Famous: Mary Letourneau. I was an extra in the house party scene. Just recently, I became one of twenty finalists in the Miss World Inked Pageant. Finally, at 33 years old, I am a mother of six who decided to shoot for her dreams. I am an aspiring model and actress. Only Dallas, Texas made this happen for me. I would have never of got this far from my hometown, which is Shreveport, LA.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been a smooth road. I’m still climbing this latter to teach for the stars. Juggling my home and work life, a daily career, and my dreams require a lot of time and planning. I’ve had to pick through many photographers. Upsetting some and gaining lifetime friends with others.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
I am an aspiring model and actress. I specialize in photography and the art behind the pictures. Another awesome talent that I do with modeling and photography is cosplay make-up. I’ve always enjoyed art. And found my most artistic ability in doing body art using make-up.
What were you like growing up?
I was a very headstrong child. I took control and was always going to do what I wanted to do. Some would have considered it defiance, but I knew it’s was apart of growing into who I wanted to be as an adult. I was always strong. And no matter what I wanted to do or be… I wouldn’t stop until I accomplished it.
