Today we’d like to introduce you to Carolina Herrera.
Hi Carolina, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Our story began with a personal realization: that true health is more than the absence of disease—it is the presence of wholeness in mind, body, and soul.
As a nurse, I saw firsthand how people navigating health challenges, caregiving, and demanding seasons often feel lost and overwhelmed. There was a gap between the clinical setting and the emotional and spiritual support people needed. That inspired Aligned, MBPYC. NamasTen and Alma—a welcoming digital space for reflection, mindfulness, and spiritual grounding, designed to complement professional care.
We started by building an experience for individuals. Along the way, we saw how meaningful it could be for families, communities, and organizations—especially faith-informed ones—that care for the whole person. Today, we are exploring partnerships with healthcare and faith-informed organizations that want to offer their teams and communities a simple, values-aligned tool for mindfulness, connection, and sustainable habits.
Our goal remains the same: no one should have to walk through a difficult season feeling alone.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has definitely not been a smooth road—but it has been a deeply formative one. The greatest challenge has been building at the intersection of technology and spirituality, where there are few roadmaps.
We faced the natural skepticism that comes with introducing AI into faith-informed spaces. People wanted to know: is this replacing something sacred? We had to learn how to explain that our work is not a replacement for the human heart, for community, or for professional care—it is a bridge to those things.
There were also practical hurdles: building a platform that feels warm and human takes time, care, and real sacrifice. There were moments of uncertainty, especially as we moved from a personal mission toward a sustainable organization. Every obstacle forced us to refine what we do and why we do it.
Today, that journey shapes how we build. We are not claiming we have all the answers—but we have learned to listen, to simplify, and to keep the person at the center. That is what we carry into every next step.
As you know, we’re big fans of www.magentastars.com. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Aligned, MBPYC. NamasTen is a wellness and mindfulness organization built around a simple idea: meaningful change can begin with ten intentional minutes a day. Our flagship experience combines brief movement, breath, reflection, and habit-building practices to help people create a steadier daily rhythm during demanding seasons of life.
What sets us apart is the way we bring physical practice, emotional reflection, and optional faith-informed content into one welcoming experience. Members can choose a secular or faith-informed pathway, and Alma offers a gentle digital space for reflection, intention-setting, and practical encouragement. Alma is designed to support—not replace—professional medical, mental-health, pastoral, or community care.
We’re known for making wellness approachable. Rather than asking people to find an hour they may not have, NamasTen helps them begin with ten minutes and build through consistency. Our experiences can support individuals, families, and organizations seeking practical ways to encourage mindfulness, resilience, connection, and sustainable habits.
Brand-wise, we’re most proud of the warmth and accessibility of our work, including Respiro-inspired outreach that creates welcoming spaces for people navigating grief, stress, or difficult transitions. Community initiatives are developed with appropriate privacy, safety, and human review.
We want readers to know that our goal is not to tell people how to live or what to believe. It is to offer a thoughtful place to pause, reconnect, and take the next manageable step—one breath and one ten-minute practice at a time.
What’s next?
Our next chapter is about expanding access thoughtfully while protecting the simplicity and humanity at the heart of our work. We’re exploring relationships with healthcare, community, and faith-informed organizations that are interested in practical ways to encourage connection, reflection, and sustainable daily habits—especially for people navigating demanding seasons of life.
We’re also exploring new ways for families and communities to stay connected across distance, with privacy and user choice at the center. The goal is to create meaningful spaces where people can share encouragement, reflection, and important moments on their own terms.
As we grow, our focus will remain the same: building a welcoming, responsible digital experience that gives people opportunities to pause, reconnect, and feel supported. We’re excited about reaching more people without losing the warmth, discretion, and personal sense of care that make the experience meaningful.
Pricing:
- Accessibility is central to how we think about pricing. We want people to be able to begin with a brief daily practice without making a long-term commitment before they understand whether it fits their routine. Current options include: Flexible individual access options, including monthly and annual plans; A one-time access option, subject to the current terms of service; An optional small chat-pack option for limited, non-clinical conversations with Alma; and Facilitated Corporate Circles for organizations, with pricing based on the cohort, facilitation scope, and implementation needs. Pricing and plan terms may change as the offering develops. Current prices, inclusions, renewal terms, and cancellation information are provided at enrollment and on our official pricing page. NamasTen is a wellness and mindfulness offering—not medical care, psychotherapy, diagnosis, or treatment.
