Meet Carrie Minter of Carries Pilates Plus

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carrie Minter.

Carrie Minter has been a health and fitness advocate from her teens. A model at fifteen, she has modeled for top designers including Valentino and Versace and graced the covers and pages of Seventeen Magazine, FHM, Esquire, Maxim and Playboy.

She has been certified in Pilates for more than ten years, and in 2013 opened Carrie’s Pilates Plus. In addition to curating a highly qualified and caring group of instructors, CARRIE’S helps clients of all ages transform their self-image and bodies via exercise and nutrition education. An active advocate for animal rescue, Carrie is actively involved with several animal rescue groups and developed a line of all-natural, cruelty-free, anti-aging skincare line, Beauty By Carrie.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not always smooth but worth every bit of blood sweat and tears!! Lots of struggles, staffing, scouting locations, keeping the brand on target with the LA location.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Carries Pilates Plus – what should we know?
Carrie Minter founded Carrie’s Pilates Plus, a female-owned and operated business, in 2013. Her background and education comes from her love of the workout, having been a student for over 11 years. She completed her Comprehensive Pilates Education with the International Pilates College, certified by Master Ivon Dahl. Over the last five years, she has built a name and a brand, running LA’s largest and most popular Pilates studio in Los Angeles loved by models, actors, athletes, and men and women of all ages.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
My outgoing personality and being straight forward.

Just giving everything my ALL.

Let’s get one thing straight – this is not your traditional Pilates. Carrie’s method combines elements Pilates, cardio, and weight training into one extremely effective workout that excels at shaping, toning, shredding, and leaning out a person’s physique. High intensity but low impact, our forty-five-minute classes are programmed with muscle exhaustion and cardio elements in mind. With an emphasis on low, controlled movements combined with fast transitions, class will leave you shaking and sweating but coming back for more.
