Meet Casandra Haynes of Kashmere Media & Marketing Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Casandra Haynes.

Hi Casandra, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I started doing journalism my sophomore year in high school. I was taking a regular journalism elective, but they started using my stories in the newspaper. I moved on to be section editor the next year and editor-in-chief my senior year. After high school, I attended the University of North Texas where I majored in Public Relations. I also worked for the school’s newspaper doing design, writing, and I was the .com editor for a year. I decided I didn’t want to work for a PR agency and that I would go into work for myself. I freelanced for a few years, then I made 4 of my businesses official in 2017 after managing models, publishing articles and photos in magazines and news networks, and hosting events. I dug deep into the entertainment industry (music and fashion) as well as the marketing/PR world. The 4 businesses I created are: Kashmere Dreams Entertainment (event and adult lifestyle company), Kashmere Model MGMT &Talent Agency (branding & managing talent), Confidently Beautiful Inc (a non-profit pageant system & clothing brand), and CLH Media Works (a marketing/branding/PR company) which is now called Kashmere Media & Marketing Group. My experiences and expertise have led me to all of the opportunities I’ve received.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The rode has been far from smooth. I’ve struggled, been homeless, had to revamp/rebrand multiple times. I’ve had empty shows, lost lots of money, and lost many friends along the way. Running a business is hard especially with friends because they may not see the vision the same way you do. Everyone isn’t loyal and everybody isn’t honest so that makes entrepreneur life hard. I became a full-blown entrepreneur in 2016 which means my money comes from people’s pockets and leaving your well-being in someone else’s hands isn’t always a good thing. I’ve had people not pay me and people who have taken advantage of me, but at the end of the day, it all worked out for the better.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Kashmere Media & Marketing Group is a marketing company that specializes in helping businesses manage their day-to-day business tasks and uses those tasks to create a successful plan to market their business making them visible to their desired target audiences to increase their overall revenue. We offer services such as web building, promoting, business 101 trainings, social media management and marketing, content creation, graphic design, blog/web copy, mini crash course business classes, and so much more.

We are set apart from other companies because we take the time to get to know our clients and ask the right questions to get them to their solutions the fastest, easiest, and most efficient way possible. We create custom packages for each client based on their needs. We don’t try to fit every client into a box and force them to purchase service packages that may not fit their needs. Not only will we work for you, we will also work with you by teaching you how to operate the logistics of your company so you can run and maintain things on your own if needed.

We also do administrative tasks, personal assistance, photography, event coordination, and bookkeeping.

We strive to help all of our clients be the best they can be and make the most money they can make!

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Ironically enough, COVID increased business for me. Lots of people became entrepreneurs and needed guidance on how to get started so they came to me. I also got a lot of returning clients back. During the pandemic, I started another business and started back hosting events. I also discovered myself and took the time to perfect my crafts. I think that even thought COVID was a world crisis and a lot of people died, that era saved a lot of people too.
