Meet Cedric Drayer of Dallas Apartment Movers

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cedric Drayer.

Cedric, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I served as a first responder for 12 years supervising 8 officers and indirectly supervising 16 officers or more on a daily basis. I worked a 2pm-10pm shift for 6 years with Sunday and Monday as my regular days off. Although I enjoyed my career, my life was passing me by, with little or no time for family activities on the weekends and holidays. I made a decision to cash out my retirement and start my own business. I have used several moving companies over the years.

While most of my experiences were good unfortunately I had some bad experiences as well. Having been blessed with an entrepreneur spirit I saw an opportunity to utilize my integrity, energy, and personable skills to serve others in a different capacity, and that’s how Dallas Apartment Movers became a reality. I not only wanted to provide my clients a fair and honest moving service, I incorporated cleaning services as well.

We offer to move and move out cleaning services. “We Move and Clean” I have always been a people person, the moving industry has afforded me the opportunity to meet some lifelong friends and clients while continuing to serve my community. I have the freedom to set my own schedule to ensure a healthy work-life balance.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
With Dallas being saturated with moving companies, it is challenging to reach customers on a small marketing budget. With most established companies spending thousands of dollars for better search engine optimization, I would say building my brand on a small budget is the most challenging.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Dallas Apartment Movers – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Dallas Apartment Movers specialize in moving apartments, condos and small offices (50 employees or less) but we do move houses as well. We offer cleaning once the move is complete, that is a service that sets us apart from most moving companies. In addition, we try to give our clients a flat rate on most moves to relieve the stress of being charged for long hours of moving or fast moves that raise the risk of property and valuables being damaged while attempting to save time.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Our plan is to build a trusted brand in Dallas and open locations in other areas of Texas and expand our business to the great state of Arkansas where I was born. Franchise opportunities will also be explored.
