Today we’d like to introduce you to Chanelle Brooks.
Chanelle, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My journey started while in high school at the tender age of 16. I began Cosmetology classes’ early on in life so that I may set myself up for my future because I knew exactly what I wanted to do as my career. I have always been super passionate about the beauty industry and was so hungry to step out in the field of beauty. So that’s exactly what I did.
Once I graduated high school, I attended the University of Central Arkansas and The University of Phoenix while working a booth I rented at a salon to help jump start my clientele. I quickly realized that hair was making me a lot of money! LOL! So, I transitioned as a full-time Hairstylist in a salon, and that’s where I began building my brand 9 years ago!
The last 9 years of my career, I’ve built a very large clientele, owned a salon, mentored other stylists, taught classes, and worked large fashion shows, but my main focus was behind the chair, and my heart wanted more. So, I relocated to Dallas, TX in 2016 and my career continued to soar. I didn’t miss a beat.
I immediately opened a salon suite with an entirely new brand and continued to trust in God that he will bless me with the opportunities that I’ve always longed for and deserved. And he did just that! My career took off! I’ve networked with some of Dallas elites and was recognized as new and fresh in the Dallas Beauty Industry. I’ve had the opportunity to work with amazing photographers, celebrity makeup artists.
An awesome television network (Morning Dose TV), celebrity fashion stylists, celebrity clientele (Michelle Williams, a former group member of Destiny’s Child and Erica Cambell of Mary Mary), and New York Fashion week 2 years in a row! I’ve been extremely blessed thus far, and I’m not done until I obtain my Emmy!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
There have been some challenges, but I learned from them, grew, and that’s why I am where I am today!
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Chanelle B Hair – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I have been known for my “growing hands’ as some might call it. My eye for creativity, and also my natural finishes to extensions. My work is set apart because of my professionalism, work ethic and overall the care and passion I have for healthy hair.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
As of now, my life is changing, and I couldn’t be more thankful and excited. I’m expecting a sweet baby boy! My future plans as a new mother will include new ideas in the beauty industry that will allow me to spend time with my family and also continue to take care of my clientele.
Traveling, New Hair Product Line, and more classes for beauty professionals and classes for everyday women on understanding their own natural hair! Updates on when I will be accepting appointments in the future, where to book, and location, will be posted first via email to current clientele and via social media platforms for new clientele once I return.
