Meet Charity Jackson of Charity’s Collection in Fort Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Charity Jackson.

Charity, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
For years especially as a little girl, I always talked about starting a business, and I was so nervous to try. I knew nothing about running a business, and some days, I figured it was not my calling. I struggled with self-love for a long time, I always pointed out the imperfections on myself and I never thought I was good enough. Charity’s Collection’s theme is based on my journey of self-love and depression and how I felt when I finally began to accept and love myself for who I was inside and out. My business consists of cosmetic products and other accessories. I wanted to make my mark on the world, and seeing a young woman with her own is rare. I wanted to give a positive light and become an example for other young people.

The world’s definition of beauty can cause girls/women to be unsatisfied within themselves, and I wanted to change that. At the age of 19, I began forming Charity’s Collection and believe it or not, I was broke, which caused me to push myself harder until I got where I wanted to be and there were days where I had little motivation. I began to realize that just because someone is already doing what you want to do, does not mean that you can’t, no one can do it like you can. When I launched Charity’s Collection in June of 2020 I was very surprised with the amount of customers I was reaching in the local area by just not my products but my positivity. A month later, I began getting orders all over the United States and at that moment, I realized that I could do anything. As a CEO you should always make your customers feel good and be confident no matter what the world says. I am currently a 20-year-old CEO and becoming an entrepreneur was the best thing I ever did. My message to all the young people is always put your trust in God no matter the situation and if you have a deep feeling on wanting to become something or start something, go for it! Never doubt yourself for one second because no one can be you like you can.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Running a business is not easy, there are long nights where you get tired but, when you love what you do the challenges don’t matter. Attracting customers was something I struggled with and I felt as if my business was a big failure. Pretty soon, that problem was no longer an issue I began receiving customers everywhere and getting great feedback from your customers only makes you realize that you are doing great and to keep going.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Charity’s Collection – what should we know?
Charity’s Collection is a cosmetics company, I am known for my lashes which I sell in natural and dramatic lengths. The thing I am mostly proud of is the way I have reached people all over the U.S. I have never received one bad review from anyone. The thing that sets me apart from others is that I treat my customers as if they are my family/friends if they need tips on starting a business, I always help them. Being a CEO is more than just marketing products and selling them. You should be a guide to anyone who needs it, especially in the business industry and I think we do not have enough of that today.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
My family and friends are the reasons why I kept going, they kept me motivated and reminded me of what I was capable of even when I didn’t even know myself. They all love me very much, and when I remember how much love I receive, I feel complete.
