Today we’d like to introduce you to Charnicia (CeCe) Curtis.
Charnicia, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I initially started Fearless Fitness 4 years ago with the idea of creating a fitness business solely to work people out. I’ve always been heavily involved in sports as an avid track runnedabling in basketball (I’m a star player in my head) and playing intramural football in college. I just knew I enjoyed playing sports and being active, so I wanted other people to feel the same. As I became an adult, I noticed that whenever struggling with depression and anxiety, that being physically active played a monumental role in leveling out my emotions. I’ve learned being active connects the mind with the body, which is important to everyday life. I wanted to create a healthy space for women to feel empowered through fitness, both mentally and physically. I wanted women to be fearless, but also fear less; thus, the Fearless Brand was born.
Has it been a smooth road?
The road has definitely not been smooth. A lot of people think I started this business within the last year, but its actually been years in the making. For the longest I just didn’t know how to run a business or where to start, but also felt like I didn’t have the time to learn so I put a lot of things off in the beginning. Then once I truly decided to take it seriously, I was going through a major transition in my life, leaving behind a significant relationship. It was extremely hard to separate my business from that relationship because I correlated the two; it was something we were both passionate about. With the help and support of friends, family, and a life coach, I was able to gain some momentum. Growing the Fearless Fitness Brand comes with a lot of highs and lows, but with any business that is to be expected. I enjoy the really high highs and flow through the lows. I’ve been broke, I’ve lost relationships with friends, and been stretched in ways I would never imagine. I just call those growing pains, and if you’re not growing and uncomfortable, then what are you really doing with your life?
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Fearless Fitness DFW – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and the least?
The thing I love most about Dallas is that there is something for everybody. There are so many different activities to choose from whether you want to turn up, get fit, chill, go to a concert, visit an art gallery, or stroll through the park. The only thing I can think of that I like the least is the traffic. If you catch Dallas at the wrong time, you will be stuck in traffic forever.
