Today we’d like to introduce you to Chasidy Dancer-Smith.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Chasidy. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
It has always been a passion of mine to serve others by inspiring them to be the best person they can be and to pass along information that is beneficial to their growth and prosperity in life. After studying in the realm of education, I knew I wanted to be a well of resource to youth to propel their awareness of life.
Following my journey of obtaining a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in education, I returned to my hometown and Founded the L.A.D.I.E.S. and G.E.N.T.L.E.M.E.N youth organization.
Each letter of the organization’s name represents and stands for:
Leaders with ambition, dignity, integrity, empowering sisters (L.A.D.I.E.S.)
And
Goal-oriented, educated, noble, trailblazing leaders, empowering men of excellent nature (G.E.N.T.L.E.M.E.N.)
L.A.D.I.E.S. AND G.E.N.T.L.E.M.E.N is an active 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization that has been recognized by the state of Texas since 2016. LG is a resourceful leadership organization, for adolescents (as young as ten to age seventeen including high school seniors), striving to create opportunities that encourage excellence by exploring diverse paths to growth and development. Our purpose is to provide innovative opportunities, events, and resources that ignite one’s greatness. Members of the organization have access to resources ranging from personal growth, academia, to performing arts. We encourage humanitarian projects to bridge community and social activism that brings positive change in our ever-evolving society.
Since starting this journey with Patrick Smith as President and Jade Grant as Vice President, we have helped serve the youth of Fort Worth since 2016 and our outreach continues to thrive on others generous time, donations, and sponsorship.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has been ‘a journey of journeys’ getting started due to life itself. I am blessed to say that there has always been enough on our plate that we can handle and that lives are being impacted each time we have the opportunity to lead our participants.
As a nonprofit, we thrive on others generosity of time, voluntary expertise, and monetary donations. We can assert that with greater support in ways mentioned above, we can offer so much more in a convenient manner.
L.A.D.I.E.S. and G.E.N.T.L.E.M.E.N Youth Organization – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We are known for hosting and sponsoring events that ignite excellence in youth. We are most proud of our members and participants because of their mutual interest and engagement with our organization.
We pride ourselves in providing opportunities and finding pathways that lead to growth and success.
We sponsor dance, step and rhythm, musical and theatrical classes, oversee the Youth Ambassadors (leadership club of the of organization), provide mental health, emotional and social support, travel to major cities outside of the DFW metropolis to gain culture awareness through agricultural sciences.
L.A.D.I.E.S. and G.E.N.T.L.E.M.E.N. has ongoing Growth Excursions and extends useful resources to youth and parents. We also educate on the contributions of the historic ancestors of the African-American people.
Members also enjoy safe social encounters with peers of like minds while receiving recognition for outstanding life achievements and community involvement which bring us to our motto:
Experience, Exposure, Excellence.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success to me is fulfilling your personal goals and living your best life.

- Membership for youth ages 10-17 (including High school seniors) $25 a year
- Monetary Donations are welcomed and are tax-exempt.
- All donations of items, services, and voluntary time are also appreciated.
