

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chef Fabian Banton.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Chef Fabian. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My journey to becoming a chef started when I was a child. I remember my mother selling curry to the neighbors and everyone loving her food. When I was about 20 I got my first job at a steak house as a grill cook and that’s when my interest in being a chef as a career really interested me. From there I moved on to other restaurants and hotels. In 2008, I began working for Ron Duprat Top Chef Season 5 Contestant. He taught me a lot during those 2 years and promoted me to Sous Chef. In 2013, I became an Executive Chef for a company. In 2015, I started my first Catering Company Chef Fab Culinary in Chef Brandon Taylor’s Kitchen. He was Lebron James private chef for eight years in Miami Florida. While owning Chef Fab Culinary I catered multiple events for Chris Chambers Former Player of the Miami Dolphins and the Los Angeles Chargers. I also cooked for Bryant Mckinnie Former Super Bowl Champion. In October of 2017 I decided to move to Dallas Texas. I began working for Shannon Branch and Stephen Soltis. In December of 2017 we decided to start Paramount Fresh.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There were always struggles on the road. When I was 20 at my first job at the steak house in, I was homeless. In 2004, I lost my mom which was extremely hard for me.
She’s the one that inspired me to become a chef and have my own business. My mother had several businesses at one time. I had struggled with drug addiction during that time.
I didn’t get my life together until I was about 25 when I met my wife. I was still homeless during that time but she did help me get my life together along with God. When I had become an executive chef in 2013 a few months later my wife was diagnosed with cancer and had to go through chemo and surgeries during that time. She survived but it was a hard year.
In September of 2017 Hurricane Irma hit South Florida I had lost my job due to the storm. Thanks to my father in law and his wife we decided to relocate to Dallas Texas.

Paramount Fresh is a Catering company that can provide services for Corporate (Luncheons) Events, Weddings Social Events, Galas and Dinner Parties for all your culinary needs.
We specialize in making beautiful art displays with food and action stations (Lavish Mac n Cheese Bar.
When we catering we can provide decorations, wedding planning, signature bar service, floral decor, DJ services, photography and videography.
We specialize in making beautiful art displays with food.
As a company, I’m very proud of the high standard of service we provide and the quality of food we are able to provide to our clients on a consistent basis.
I believe what sets us apart is we can provide delicious Global Inspired gluten free and vegan menus for catering event.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Resilience you can’t be afraid of starting over and starting from scratch. When I decided to move to Dallas after Hurricane Irma I knew I would be starting from scratch. I knew it would be difficult but its part of life and had to be done. You have to pick yourself back up after life hits you with various struggles, issues with loss and whatever life throws your way.
