Psalms Home Care Consulting was created out of a special relationship that Founder and Owner Cheryl Albert had for over five years as a caregiver for a very special elderly couple. The bond between this couple and Cheryl deepened because they were able to receive loving quality care in their own home and on their own terms.
Through her faith journey, Cheryl was inspired by this bond and wanted others in need to receive quality loving care in their own homes. With over 20 years’ experience in the long-term care industry working for other agencies and as a private consultant specializing in recruiting caregivers, Cheryl took a leap of faith and licensed her consulting business as a personal care services agency in 2015 to start Psalms Home Care Consulting.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Anything worth having will always take some work, and have its challenges. I was blessed by the people God placed in my life to help on this journey. While yes, there are some obstacles, and challenges that I face everyday, the greatest obstacle is not being able to keep enough work to keep my caregivers all working. My greatest challenge is trying to make sure everyone has care when they need it even if they can’t afford it. God will always provide.
Psalms Home Care Consulting – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Psalms Home Care provides Caregivers, Companions, CNA’s (Certified Nursing Assistants) to meet the care needs for our elderly population. I am most proud of what we stand for because we honor God first, and everything else is second! What sets us apart from others is our “Service” to, and for others. “Rise in the presence of the aged, show respect for the elderly and revere your God.” Lev. 19:32
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest moment of my career was the day my client went into the hospital during a shift I was not working, and simply asked why I wasn’t there. Still touches my heart until this day!
