Meet Cheyenne Seitz of In the Moment Photography in DFW

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cheyenne Seitz.

Cheyenne, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Photographers have always been and still are people I look up too. The art behind a picture is endless, you can fit a million words in a picture. It was always a pipe dream in my head and I was never really sure if I was going to have the ability to do it. I felt this way for years, Christmas 2018 comes around. My one in a million kind of man got me my dream! He got me my Nikon D5500, three lens and my editing software. I setup a Christmas mini in my house that night for my baby boy, I was addicted.
I immediately started self teaching all things camera. I setup many free photoshoots to learn how to pose people, make them feel comfortable and editing. I did this for months before I started low cost photoshoots.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has been far from a smooth road, but well worth it. Anyone who is pushing to grow a business for themselves know that the trial and error will be there. I still deal with struggles in many things but here are a few. Self doubt is one of the hardest things I have had to learn to conquer, worrying about getting the right shots for your clients. Booking people around being a stay at home mom, family time and time to myself has always been something difficult to balance. Those are two that I have struggled with and worked through. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Every struggle has a learning experience behind it!

Tell us more about the business.
I am the proud owner of In the moment photography. I photograph everything from weddings, newborns, seniors, families, businesses, boudoir and maternity. I love to leave my range open. I love the experiences that come with every photoshoot in all categories. I am very proud of my business for the extreme growth I have made within the year and couple months it’s been open! I can also say I am extremely proud of how many clients I have left with a smile on there face and pictures hanging on their wall. Although there are many incredible photographers out there. I would say what sets me apart is the fact that I will do whatever it takes to have my clients leave with pictures they will adore for a lifetime.

Who else deserves credit – have you had mentors, supporters, cheerleaders, advocates, clients or teammates that have played a big role in your success or the success of the business? If so – who are they and what role did they plan / how did they help.
I have a great support system, I mean I am truly blessed in that department. I have my loving husband who is my main supporter. He is always there to help me with advice and give me someone to lean on. My biggest cheerleader outside of my husband would be my mom. Sharing any and everything she has the ability too. Clients, oh how I love them. I have many beautiful families who come to me for all picture needs. I wouldn’t trade that for the world!
