Today we’d like to introduce you to Chloe Johnson.
Hi Chloe, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I graduated from college and lost myself in my new full-time job. It wasn’t until I took a job in Australia that I finally realized what I had to do to make friends.
When I came back to America, I wanted to create a group specifically for all the events I would be throwing. The first event I threw was a meet-and-greet at Truckyard with over 20 girls from as far out as Fort Worth and Aubrey. I decided to keep the momentum going and throw two events a week (one weekday and one weekend). Obviously, coming up with and promoting two events a week can be daunting, but with my full-time job being flexible and me riding on the adrenaline of the first event, I knew it was possible.
I started off hosting what I know best: trivia night with the Dallastriviaguy. It evolved into Girls Nights Out, pickleball meet-ups, happy hours, markets, friendsgiving, and even a trip to Hawaii with one of the friends I made in my group. It’s wild to think I started the group on social media in September, and now it’s the end of January, and I have made so many new, thoughtful, and intentional friendships. I started this group to find people and help other girls like me find theirs, and I never thought I would reach so many. Leading anything with so many people comes with its own set of hardships, compromises, and tough decisions, but overall, the community and support system II have built has kept me hopeful and excited for the future. Now, I run a group chat with over 250 people, the Dallas event group on BFF has over 800+ people, and a facebook group with over 20k girls.
My favorite memories from the group and community don’t come from the huge parties or big group outings, but from the small things we do in between. My favorite events have been the pumpkin painting party we did in October and the gingerbread house decorating we did in December. I loved getting the girls together to create and relax with. I also thoroughly enjoy the shenanigans we get into on a girls’ night out, where you start at one place and somehow end up somewhere, dancing, laughing, and creating memories that will last forever.
The Girls, Dtx has pushed me out of my comfort zone, has helped me, and supported me through my groups. I know that if i ever needed anything I could reach out and be met with a smiling face and go getter attitude. I love being a part of this community and I’m so excited to see how it grows.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been a long road, but for the most part, a smooth one. I am grateful for all the opportunities I’ve had and blessed to have met so many wonderful people along the way. I try to stay positive and bring a smile to every situation, even during the difficult ones. No matter what I truly believe that the journey makes the destination all that much more worth it.

I love curating special, low-cost events where everyone is genuinely welcome. No matter your age, race, background, or where you are in life, I want my events to feel like a considerate, open, and judgment-free space. At the heart of everything I do is community building, meaningful connection, and strengthening relationships.
I am most proud of what I have been able to accomplish through this community because, honestly, I never thought I would be the person creating one.
In high school and college, I was never the “popular” girl. I struggled to make friends, and I was even dropped from my college rush program—not once, but twice. For a long time, I thought I was the problem. I wondered if I wasn’t good enough, if there was something wrong with me, and if having the “village” everyone always talks about simply wasn’t meant for me.
It wasn’t until I started this group that I realized just how wrong I was.
Building a community has shown me how wonderful, fulfilling, and powerful it can be to create a space where people feel seen, included, and wanted. Today, I’m known in our group for my bubbly, loud personality, but more than anything, I hope people know me for the kindness and love I show to everyone who walks into our space.
What makes my group different from others in the area is that it is completely free. I’m not doing this for money, popularity, or Instagram followers. I’m doing it because I know what it feels like to walk into a room and wonder if you belong.
I’m doing this for the girl who is new to town. For the girl who is shy or anxious. For the girl who hasn’t found her people yet. For the girl who has been rejected and started questioning whether she was the problem. And for every girl who is still searching for the village everyone says you should have.
I want to create that village for her.
If even one person leaves one of our events feeling a little less alone, a little more confident, or knowing that she has a place where she belongs, then everything I do is worth it.
