Today we’d like to introduce you to Christie Potter.
Christie, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I always knew I wanted to be in healthcare since I was a young child. And I ALWAYS knew I would work with children. Kids are my passion and they always crack me up with some of the things they say! I did NOT always know I would own my own practice however; that came about years later. I have always been a “go getter” and a leader and when I set my mind on something, I often accomplish my goals.
I feel that having a strong passion for children, possessing a love for helping people and a drive to always do well has ultimately been the combination that has helped me achieve my goal of opening Natural Choice Pediatrics. I am fortunate to have such an amazing family that have pushed me to do my best in everything I do and to always aim high.
My journey in the healthcare field began in a traditional way, but over time, I became exposed to other ways of healing and promoting wellness. These other holistic modalities really opened my eyes to a whole new approach to healthcare. I’ve witnessed children and their families, after years of chasing never-ending cycles of unhealthy patterns, have their lives turned around through integrating holistic and natural approaches into their lives. I was immediately intrigued and had to learn more. This launched my never ending thirst for knowledge.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not always been a smooth road. Eight long years of college and many years of hard work in my field lead me to a point in my life where I was ready to open my own practice. There were financial hurdles to overcome and numerous hours invested in getting the practice off the ground. It was all worth it!

At Natural Choice Pediatrics, we believe in treating the whole child to empower families to live healthier lives, naturally. Our focus and passion is integrative pediatrics, which we practice through a combination of traditional, complementary, alternative and holistic approaches to provide the most effective and least invasive ways to treat children. We are most proud of the amazing customer service we offer, we go above and beyond for our patients and we treat them like family.
What were you like growing up?
I was always joking around and acting silly. I was a very social kid with lots of friends and lots of activities. I was involved in scouting, sports, color guard and my church.
