Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Williamson.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Christina. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I was 11 when I told my mother I wanted to become a hair stylist one day. As soon as I was old enough to enroll in cosmetology school, she made sure I was there. After I graduated Highschool/cosmetology school, I was already working on building my business.
As a young hairdresser, it’s difficult to have clients take you seriously, you’re still polishing up your skills, and constantly learning new things. I was dedicated to always learning the new trends, even the trends I wasn’t fond of. I just wanted to get my hands on any continued education available to me.
After 11 years in the beauty industry, all the hard work is finally paying off- I will be opening an upscale salon and blow dry bar in Austin Ranch in May 2017! I am so excited to be a part of such a fun community in The Colony. My team and I can’t wait to begin transforming hair in our new space!
My goal throughout this journey is to hopefully inspire those around me, whether it’s one of my team members or one of our beautiful clients! All dreams are reachable!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It was definitely not a smooth road. There are hair stylists all around competing for the same clients. I quickly realized I needed to create a brand for myself, and then came Salon Bellus.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Salon Bellus – what should we know?
Salon Bellus specializes in hair color, cutting, smoothing treatments, etc. we will also have a blow dry bar within our salon. I am proud to offer in- salon education for my staff. It’s exciting to see everything they take away from it!

My family, friends, and my beautiful clients! Everyone has been so supportive and excited to see this happen for me! This just makes me push forward and work harder!
