Today we’d like to introduce you to Christopher Chappell.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Christopher. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I have worked in critical care and trauma for the past 10 years. About 2 years ago, I felt like I had hit a glass ceiling and that there was not potential for career development or promotion from my current position. I took every class, pass every test, got every certification and it still wasn’t good enough. I felt like I had so much more to offer and I just needed the platform to show it. I decided to start my own company and base it on something that I was passionate about and a means by which I could help people.
September of 2015 I started an IV company that caters to the needs of everyday people as well as those with special needs such as athletes and those with minor medical issues.
On my college football team, guys got IVs all the time due to dehydration, cramping, and heat. This service made a world of difference. I then decided that I could bring this service to the masses as an elective therapy for simple remedies and recovery options.
We are currently franchising multiple locations across Texas and various other major demographics.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Working as an African American male nurse is very atypical for the profession. You face bias and prejudices in the daily job setting. You often run across people who are judgmental and often question your motives for picking nursing as a profession. Starting a business can be difficult. There are many ups and downs, and often opportunities are not always transparent.
Though it sounds cliché, with hard work and persistence, I have continued to gain ground and reach new plateaus as an entrepreneur that I was unable to as a professional. Now I am at the point of creating growth and advancement opportunities for myself and my company that were not previously afforded to me when I worked in a hospital.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Hydropros IV Rehydration Specialists – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Hydropros is a IV hydration company that specializes in customer experience. We are known for fixing ailments such as hangovers to migraines and flu symptoms. Everything that we do, we do to make the customer feel better. I feel that we are best known for our ability to accommodate people. From a single request in Prosper Texas, to a party of 10k in Stephenville, we are capable of delivering high quality and high-volume service. I am most proud of the people that I work with. We hire current firefighter/paramedics, military veterans, and clinical nurses/nurse practitioners to deliver our services. These people inspire me every day. From all the experiences and environments that they have all worked in, they are always eager and excited to take care of people and make a difference in someone’s life. Medical providers are here to serve people and we take pride in our craft.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I plan to grow my current company and start other companies that are service oriented to help improve the status of healthcare and accessibility. We are currently planning for some major expansions. We are looking forward to growth in multiple markets.
