Today we’d like to introduce you to Christopher Jenkin.
Christopher, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
We launched our company in 2011 with the intention of selling three third-party solutions to clients through our large distribution channel. We had a QR code dashboard, a mobile website builder, and an SMS messaging platform all owned by our solutions partners.
After one month in business, our QR code dashboard partner changed the deal we had and requested we start paying a large subscription fee every month. They gave me two weeks before they would shut our dashboard down stranding hundreds of new clients we had on boarded. I contacted a development company out of India who had built our website and asked if they could develop a software platform for us. They said yes and then I told them we needed it in two weeks. Three weeks later we launched our new platform and we were in the software development business from that point forward.
We have gone through many left and right turns over the years as we learned about digital marketing and what solutions really made a difference for our clients. Being a startup we said yes to just about every opportunity that came our way and as a result, in the last 8 years we have developed hundreds of websites, over 140 mobile apps, managed social media, managed advertising campaigns, and offered our own proprietary solutions. We have grown our team from two people to over 34 full-time employees located in six countries.
Today our primary focus is on SEO and offering products and services that drive traffic that converts to our client’s online content. gotcha!Stream™ is our latest product and it is amazing. A client can provide us with topics related to their business and our system can identify influencers writing articles on those topics and articles that appear in top Google results and pull these articles into our system. We then push up to 20 articles a day to our client’s websites and then post article snippets on their Facebook and Twitter accounts linking back to their matching website articles. Our product is managed by our Stream Team and we follow curation best practices linking these articles back to the original authors.
Next in line for us is a Blockchain project where we will be validating authors and their content as original and helping them monetize their content using Smart Contracts.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Building this company has been anything but smooth. We have been undercapitalized, understaffed, and overly ambitious. But all this has made us the company we are today. We have groomed experts in this field and we all are passionate about our company. The key is I did not want to build a company and get rich on the backs of my employees. I want all of us to succeed as a team and benefit from our hard work.

I am most proud of our team. Digital marketing is not something you learn and then do like a regular job. No matter what you do in this field, you must always be learning and changing the way you do things to constantly strive to deliver the best possible results. Too many digital marketing companies out there make all the right noises but fall short of delivering on their promises. We know, we acquire their work continuously do to their poor performance.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Depends on the start over point. If it’s 2011, when I launched the company, no. If it’s earlier in my career, maybe. Digital marketing and technology is truly the wild wild west at this point. Things are developing and changing so rapidly, only those with vision and an understanding of business clients needs will survive.
