Hi, I’m Chuntavia Frazier Scott AKA Tay— CEO and founder of TAYFRAI “LET ME STYLE YOU”. A beauty & fashion brand rooted in love, God, community, confidence, and care. I’m a Natural Hair Specialist that works with Locs, I also do Silk Press and Braids/Twists.
I’m originally from Minden Louisiana, now based in Lewisville Texas. I Have 3 kids and a husband, so I know what it means to have a full schedule & busy life lol.
Since 2017 after graduating from The Salon Professional Academy in Lewisville, I have been apart of the beauty industry. From providing clients with a wide variety of styles, doing freelance modeling to doing makeup reviews on YouTube.
As one of the many African American beauty businesses in the Denton County, I believe in providing the best products, service and hospitality.
After loosing my mom to bone & lung cancer in 2020, I gave up on my dreams. I was grieving for a long time, because she was my best friend and biggest cheerleader. But after having my second child in 2024, I decide to step out on faith, revive my business and build my clientele from scratch. My husband Taylor Scott wouldn’t let my dream die. Here I am, now in my own studio at Sola Salon Suites Lewisville 🩵💫🥹.
In my chair the client is the priority. The focus has been to match each person up with the right combination of products and services to help them look and feel their best. I am a stylist always looking forward to learning, growing and embrace new clients. I’ve always loved making others feel and look beautiful. It makes me feel good to see someone’s inner beauty turn inside out!
I strive to satisfy all my clients’ needs by providing them with comprehensive and high quality services. Each individual is unique, requiring a personalized approach to help them find the style that’s right for them. My goal is to have my client list constantly expanding, so it can allow me to add more and better offerings to help my
valued customers find the look they feel most comfortable and confident with.

I pride myself on being a beautician with a passion for delivering hair artistry and excellent service exceeding client expectations. Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road. I’ve had smooth moments, but even through the struggles, I didn’t give up…and I will never. The only struggle I’ve had is building my clientele. It’s hard in this economy and in the area that I’m in. Lewisville Tx is highly saturated with braiders and Loctician.

I’m a Natural Hair Specialist that specializes in Locs, Braids and Silk Presses.
My mission is to help clients achieve a chic, low-maintenance look they’ll love. Even with a packed schedule. I focus on creating styles that empower my clients to feel confident and beautiful every day.
What I’m most proud of is my ability to stay strong and pushing through whatever comes my way. I’m proud how I remain humble and keep the love for people in my heart. What I love most is helping them transform their look and their confidence. I really listen to what they want and work with them to find a style that fits their personality and lifestyle.
What sets me apart from others is; I truly believe your hair is the crown you never take off! I actually love working with clients to embrace their natural beauty. It’s not just a “money making job” for me. It’s not another hustle, it’s my passion, my ministry.
I do what I do because it truly gives me joy. It’s a way for me to express myself freely. It’s a way for me to help people relax…at the end of the day I love, loving on people. It’s an act of service and giving back.
I had a client tell me once “when I do locs, it’s like I’m leaving a little piece of myself with that person, because at that point, I become a part of their life journey.” And I couldn’t agree with her more! To see it in that way is so profound and meaningful. THIS is why I pray over my chair and myself before doing someone’s hair. I’m touching people crowns, and I wouldn’t dare mishandle that.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
In the next 5-10 years I see my industry still thriving, still flourishing and hopefully we’ll see some really cool and unique styles. I also hope the product are more clean and beneficial to the hair.
