Today we’d like to introduce you to Cierra Johnson.
Cierra, before we jump into specific questions about your work, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My name is Cierra Johnson and I am a Fort Worth born beauty enthusiast. My passion for enhancing one’s natural beauty through eyelash extensions has lead me to create two brands of my own Lashedbycee and BleuLuxe Mink Collection. Being a Lashboss was never my intentions nor was it my long term dream, but I’m more passionate about it than ever! After having my second child I knew that just having a 9 to 5 was not going to do my family any justice. While trying to bounce back to becoming a working mother of two I thought of a million ways to make extra money that would also not take away too much time from my family. Lashing was that thing. Lashing literally changed my family’s lifestyle.
Since I have started lashing, I recently got signed to a modeling agency called Keep it, Klassy. I am able to work full time with a great company that works with up and coming entrepreneurs like myself. I never thought I would be able to pursue my dream, make a profit, and be a full-time mommy. I love my clientele for making this possible, and for anyone inquiring whether you prefer extensions or the traditional strip lashes. I am able to cater to all your luxury lash needs. I have over a decade of experience creating realistic looking lashes while complimenting unique facial features of all eye types.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The biggest obstacle was scheduling. My clients have hectic schedules and so do I. Once I started planning months in advance, I mastered the obstacle of scheduling. Ladies and gentlemen this sounds really old school, but purchase a planner. If you are over-prepared, you have little to no room for error.
Please tell us about your work.
I am an Eyelash Extension Specialist. I probably received the same training your favorite lasher received. The only difference between them and I would be customer service. From the time you set your appointment to the initial follows-ups, you will feel valued! I am a hard-working mom and I know what a nice pair of amazing lashes do for me. I would like to provide the same experience to all my clients as well as make them feel like a top priority even if it’s just for a two-hour appointment.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I had to start over, the only thing I would change is doing it sooner. I never knew this industry was thriving like it is. Just the networking opportunities alone would have made me do this fresh out of high school.
