Today we’d like to introduce you to Claire Rogers.
Claire, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
All through high school and college, I loved taking photos of my friends and family whenever I could whether that was for their senior pictures, weddings, or family photos. I even spent one summer in high school saving up all of my babysitting money to buy my first DSLR camera.
This year, I finally decided to start my own small photography business, and I am so glad that I did. It’s a way for me to do something that I love while being able to provide the Dallas area with affordable photos of their family, friends, and loved ones. It’s something that I’ve always wanted to do, and now that I am I truly couldn’t be happier.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I would have to say that the most difficult part of starting up Photography by Claire has been growing awareness in the Dallas area. I moved from Little Rock, Arkansas almost exactly two years ago, so most of the people that I had worked for still live there.
I’m still trying to build up my clientele here, and so far I have had such a great experience meeting families around the metroplex. It truly is such a great experience meeting new people down here!
Please tell us about Photography by Claire.
Photography by Claire is a destination for all photography needs, no matter what you’re looking for. My biggest business is family photos, engagements, and weddings, but I have also done multiple solo sessions for blogs and senior photos.
I love capturing moments, whether that is a family just having a genuinely fun time together at a park or a couple exchanging vows on their wedding day. I think being able to look back at photos that capture an emotional time in your life is really special and I am so glad that I get to be a part of that for so many different people.
Something that really sets me apart from other photographers in the area is that for every one of my sessions I don’t have a time or a photo limit. Many photographers promise a fixed number of photos from each session or event, but for me, I want to give as many as possible.

Claire did such a great job for every shoot I hired her for. She has taken care of some on the job business photos, my engagement pictures, and my wedding. Not only that but I recommended her to two families and they had such a good time and ended up with beautiful pictures. I can’t waot to have Claire take part in my future big life events because she really knows how to capture the memories.
