Today we’d like to introduce you to Clint Hill.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Clint. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started as a part-time employee 13 years ago. I found an immediate passion for serving others and helping create memories for families each day. I have held several positions in the company, ranging from General Manager to Regional Director and Vice President before accepting the President/CEO role in 2015. Having helped hire and lead over 15,000 young adults has been one of my biggest joys in this job.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Like any company that’s been around for more than a decade, we’ve seen good years and challenging years. With only a 100-day season in which to operate, weather is probably our biggest challenge. And, of course, there’s not a lot we can do about the unpredictability of the weather. So we have a Rain Free policy: If the park closes for the day before 4 pm due to weather, guests already in the park with a daily admission receipt for that day can receive a complimentary ticket at the front gate as they exit the park to come back another day.
Hawaiian Falls Waterparks – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Our mission is to bring families closer together. We are known for good, clean, safe, wholesome family fun. We pride ourselves on being the regional entertainment option for moms throughout North and Central Texas. We support many non-profits and community groups year-round. We are very proud of our sense of community pride.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
We have many kids who grew up going to one of our waterparks for fun. Years later many have come to work at Hawaiian Falls. When we can convert a guest to a member of our team and an integral part of the success at that park, I’d qualify it as a great success. Also, every year when mom considers her budget and decides to invest another summer in season passes for her whole family is another indicator that we’re on the right track. She has so many entertainment options from which to choose. The fact that she’s willing to invest her family’s time and money in coming to the waterpark all summer long tells me we’re doing something right.
