Contessa, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started when my family and friends started having gatherings at the house and they would ask me “can you make me a drink”, and I would be like sure. They would be like this is so good. However, this became my passion and no one had to ask anymore I would just start making them drinks and I love the fact you can mix ingredients and the perfect drink comes out tasting so good. I then starting doing a little research on bartenders, writing down plans and came across mobile bartenders. So I put my passion into action and started my own mobile bar business and called it ” Couture Concoctions Mobile Bar”.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Absolutely not, trying to get a business started when you are a full-time, employee, student, mom, wife, and business owner is a struggle. There has been trial and error, but the more motivation I put forth towards my business has taught me a lot. Sometimes it is still a struggle due to the fact our city is big and the competition will cut your price in half just to get a gig. But I know my worth and I have to make myself stand out among the others, whether it my personality, professionalism, my taste of my drinks, or just making sure my clientele is priority. I can say now it is a smooth ride and we are booking clients. But I am still on a continuous learning experience daily.
Couture Concoctions Mobile Bar – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Couture Concoctions Mobile Bar that services the DFW and surrounding areas. I provide the clients with a stress-free event with professionalism and a great experience while we take care of their guests and keep the “spirits” going and they can just mingle. We provide non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks and also our Mimosa bar, along with our ” Specialty Concoctions” which we are known for. We cater to all types of parties from corporate/company, birthdays, baby showers, housewarming, pop-up shops, weddings, bridal shower and all other social events.
I love our brand and proud that I have motivated myself to push my passion and arise and to be able to share the “spirits” I make to make others feel good.
What sets us apart is that we take the time to listen to our clients and what they want and make sure we exceed their expectations and more.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I define success in different ways, by meeting goals I have set for myself and my business. Making sure I do my job well also my skills that I provide along with my passion for my determination in life to continue moving forward and making sure I produce a great quality in my work. I want to be a successful bartender with great customer service, dependability and most importantly provide great communication with my clients.

- Full Bartender Service Package flat rate starts from $250 – $550 (4-6 hours of services/mixers/garnish/portable bar, etc)
- Portable Bar Rental starting from $150 – $350 (depending on hours needed)
- Mimosa Bar Package flat rate starts from $175 – $275 (depending on hours needed/addtl requests)
- Mocktail Bar Package flat rate starts from $100 – $250 (depending on hours/addtl requests)
