Today we’d like to introduce you to Corey Trimble Jr. and Kiantre’ Meullione.
Corey and Kiantre’, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
As an introduction, my name is Tre’ Meullione. I am a junior nursing major/ psychology minor at Texas State University. Growing up, I’ve always been drawn to wearing suits and dressing nicely. My motivation is to exemplify my fraternity’s, (Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.), motto of achievement. This I intend to show through each endeavor I do. In this case, it would to be show, teach, and help other men enhance and gain their knowledge in how to dress appropriately and successfully.
My pops always told me “They will always talk down on the man you are, because they’re scared of the man you’re going to become.” I’m Corey Trimble Jr. Born and raised in the Dallas, Tx. Senior Accounting Major, Economics Minor at Texas State. My Dedication, determination, and discipline guides me daily towards my dreams and aspirations of becoming a CPA and potential NBA CEO. I enjoy providing business attire visuals and professional expertise to those who seek it. I draw my inspiration from many fashion blogs, GQ, and even Pinterest! I love dressing formally, business casually and professionally. It provides me with confidence unmatched to a simple casual outfit.
Kiantre’ and I were simply brainstorming on how to provide our knowledge of fashion and suit etiquette to the many people who seek it. We understood that many of the clothes within our own closet’s were fairly affordable for college students like ourselves. But, do those college students know the resources to access that same clothing? Therefore, We have recently began our journey to further spread the fashion knowledge we have obtained over the years. Our Instagram and twitter pages allow most to stay up to date on our journey. To put it simply, we are two young men who enjoy providing expertise and outfit visuals to the many men, young and old, who seek it. We’re continuing to grow our professional and personal brands and hope to continue to spread love and wisdom to whomever we cross.
Has it been a smooth road?
With this business, we’ve ran into several minor challenges such as social media presence, audience involvement, outfit selection, and availability of photographers. These challenges have allowed us to further understand the importance of perseverance and consistency.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the A GentleMan’s Closet story. Tell us more about the business.
With A GentleMan’s Closet, we provide visuals, advice, and tips to our audience. On campus, Tre’ and I are known for portraying class and sophistication. We love to carry those same characteristics through our business. For example, When a client reaches out to us for a style consultation, we are quick to collaborate and include the client in the entire process. We ensure they are comfortable with being themselves and comfortable with us altering their style. As our brand grows, we are most proud of our diligence to maintain it while being full-time college students. It can become overwhelming at times, but we understand the bigger picture. We believe we set ourselves apart from others because we continue to embrace ourselves and the people we’ve come to know through our network. Also, we are continuously growing as stylists and professionals.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
The fashion industry is ever growing and vastly evolving. The trends in fashion vary day by day, minute by minute. We believe that, in the professional world, suits will become an anomaly. This is due to most companies becoming very lenient on dress and embracing more diverse environments. But As fashion continues to change, the persona of a gentleman doesn’t. A gentleman will always be a gentleman. He exudes professionalism and class, confidence and excellence.
