Today we’d like to introduce you to Corliss Anderson.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have always had a passion for educating children and their families. Which lead me to the early childhood field. In 2014 my husband lost our main source of income and being just having our 3rd child I knew what I had to do. Before becoming a stay at home mom, I was working as a center Director at a nearby childcare center. Recalling see the children faces and the staff concerns I knew then I could not return to a center but start my own. Many call me crazy but my passion and my heart knew Buzzing Busy Bees was needed.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
This road to being my own boss has open my eyes to some of what many daycare owners would always worry about. Not having the funds to pay staff to slow or no enrollment. Not to mention the daily bills the daycare has. My story is truly one for the books and I love my faith did not allow me to quit. One of my favorite quotes “I make it look easy but it’s not”.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Buzzing Busy Bees Learning Academy – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Buzzing Busy Bees Learning Academy was established with one thing in mind, to bring back education to early childhood. We understand that setting a proper foundation allow the child a chance to succeed. Our curriculum is tailor to best fit each child in our care. By taking time to do this, the child’s enthusiasm to learn will grow along with their self-image. To the child, Buzzing Busy Bees Learning Academy will become a place for adventure, fun, and friends. What sets us apart from other centers we are family.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I hope to move my home-base center to a building. By planning this move, I most look forward to helping serve more families.
