Meet Cory Milligan of Kickinit_withCory in North Dallas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cory Milligan.

Cory, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Have you ever had your heart broken so dramatically to where you felt it in your soul? Well, it happened to me around two years ago and to make things even worse, so I lost myself. Being a single mother to a teenager, I had to keep a happy face on even though I was hurting inside. But after a couple of months (felt like years), I finally found myself again! So with my Instagram platform, I want to show others who may have gone through a bad breakup, loss, long term single status, or situation that seems like you’re drowning, that you too can start over from scratch! Let others know that everything will be okay in the end; you WILL find yourself again!

Has it been a smooth road?
Smooth? Lol, not even close. Some days were better than others, but most were terrible. It was so hard to talk about it that I just kept everything to myself. One day my sister sent me a meditation to listen to and that definitely jump started the comeback! Even today, I still listen to these meditations that keep me accountable to love myself regardless.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I encourage and show others who may have lost themselves, that there is still a world out there for us to enjoy! I do this through my Instagram platform by posting affirmation words and outings. The outings are important because without having a tribe or a close family/friend to talk to, you would close yourself off to what the world has to offer! What sets me apart is that I am also an introvert, which makes being alone great and scary at the same time. Scary because I could get lost in my thoughts, but that’s a whole other story!

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
There is so much that Plano and Dallas have to offer! Being apart of Dallas Social Influencers and DTX Babes Who Create has allowed me to explore areas that I would’ve never gone to. Bishop Arts, Trinity Groves, and even downtown Plano to name a few!
