Meet Creshawndra Edwards of Glamorous Works in Dallas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Creshawndra Edwards.

Creshawndra, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started braiding at the age of 13. I began to do family member hair, classmates, and I build a clientele just on recommendation alone. At the age of 19, I registered my business name and opened a beauty supply located in Seagoville, TX. Hard work, training, and determination played a part in how I became successful today. At the age of 20, my business had grown and I was on the road to success!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. As a business owner, you have your ups and downs. I have faced many challenges in my life, but I stayed focused. Some things I faced were marital issues, financial challenges, miscarriage, and just life. I managed to stay focused and I always had faith in what God could do and I trust him. Regardless of what I been through, I kept working hard and finding new ways to keep my business running and to be successful. I went through my storms, but every lesson came with a blessing!

Please tell us about your business.
Glamorous Works was established on August 5, 2005 in Dallas. I am a natural stylist. I am known for my braid styles, which are Box Braids, twist, crochet braids, feed Ins, Sew Ins, and more protective styles! I am professional, I give great customer service, and I have an “open door policy” to where my clients can come to talk to me if they have any issues with a service or a concern. I treat my clients like family without them, I would be in business, so I am truly grateful. My main goal is to make sure they are happy when they leave my chair.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
