Today we’d like to introduce you to Cyril Pope-Polk.
Hi Cyril, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I started trading back in 2019 when I saw it on Instagram lol. I had a background in Merchandising so it was completely different for me. What attracted me to it, was the ability to make money all from my phone. I told myself if I could make $1, I could make a million more! The first time I ever traded I made $10 so from there I went into student mode and tried to really learn the skill. I found a multi-millionaire trader mentor who’d been trading for over 20+ years and taught me everything he knew. I wasn’t the type it just take notes on it and never use it, I applied every bit of it and it worked! Once I started getting consistent results, I started calling out my trade ideas, which made people a lot of money, and teaching others how to trade too. Fast forward to now, I’ve made well over six figures trading and have my own education bootcamp where I have taught over 1,000 individuals. It’s been one heck of a journey, and as we all know nothing comes easy, but I will say trading has shaped me into the person that I am today. Aside from the materialistic wins, it has taught me a lot of life lessons and what it truly means to impact someone else. I’ve really gained memories and made connections with people that I will never forget. I’m so glad I didn’t let fear stop me 3 years ago!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not a smooth road, like I said before nothing comes easy lol it’s financed at the end of the day! Funny enough finance was the only class I ever failed in my life so it’s hilarious to me that I’m doing something finance related.
In my opinion, there are two types of struggles when it comes to trading. The first was actually learning the skill. What most people don’t know is that trading in the foreign exchange market is considered to be an elite skill that only 2% of the world actually knows how to do, so the language when learning was a bit difficult for me in the beginning. It took getting a mentor to really be able to break it down in a way that I could understand and be there to answer the questions I had along the way for me to really perfect my craft. That’s why I tell people I feel blessed to have found a way to easily break down this information and teach others because I know how difficult it was for me in the beginning.
The second struggle would be the psychology of trading and this is the part most people get stuck on. Trading will really show you how greedy you are lol (iykyk). A lot of people have gotten started with high expectations, trying to make a quick buck. I like to be very transparent and tell people this isn’t a get rich quick scheme. Patience pays. It teaches you patience because the longer you stay in, continue to trade, and trust your analysis, the more rewarding it can be.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
That learning the skill trading in the foreign exchange market is such an asset because even if the stock market is down, we can still be profitable either way. The market is open 24 hours a day 5 days a week so there are many opportunities to be profitable as long as you have Wi-Fi.
