Meet Daniel Messersmith

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel Messersmith.

Hi Daniel, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
A couple years ago, my friend and I where talking about starting a podcast. I honestly think it was a mixture of serious and if only connotations. However, at the start of this new year, I sat down and really thought about everything I’ve been through personally, and I found that I could really help others with that experience. So, I started The Takeaway podcast. It still has yet to reach its full potential, but for a 4-month start, it really has done well with reaching others. The podcast is for all listeners, and I truly believe that we all could use positivity and hear about different experiences

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One of the biggest struggles has been me. Lol That’s the honest truth. My insecurities and my introvert personality can get in the way still, but I always remember to keep other people who may need this information in my the forefront of my mind. If you we allow our personal struggled interfere, we could be robbing others of something they truly need in a dark moment

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I host my own podcast, The Takeaway on Spotify. It’s been a really privilege for this opportunity to come along and land in my lap. I’m most proud of this accomplishment and to have my wife and best friends along the way to support me. My wife, Brenda, and my two best friends Nick and Lyndsie. And my mom. Elaine is my biggest fan of all. I love them all. They are my greatest accomplishment. When people usually talk to me about my story. I include a lot of things from my adoption to my struggle growing up in an isolated environment to the loss of my wife and I son at 9 months Alexander Nicholas Messersmith. It’s been a difficult road, and the grieving process is not easy. But God has brought us through it all.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I would love for people to reach out through thetakeaway2023@yahoo.com or on my social media The Takeaway2023, and share their stories. My podcast is Christian based, and I wrap every episode with the basis that Christ love is the epicenter of everything. And that everyone is loved no matter what by Him. Other people can collaborate with me by coming on he show and tell their stories. And share the podcast with others. It’s a tool to show love
