Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Taylor.
Danielle, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started working as a Massage Therapist in 2004, for a corporate massage company. In turn, working with this company, allowed me to practice and perfect my skills. I had 35 to 40 clients a week.
It gave me time to work on the many modalities used for massage therapists. I always wanted to start my own business but as a single mother with two young boys; Jonah ten and Elijah eight now. My dreams and needs got put on the back burner as I provided my children with their needs before my own.
In June of 2015, I fell ill with kidney failure. My body was filled with so many toxins. 13 liters of waste fluid was removed from my body. With that and the side effects of the first-time dialysis. My muscle caught atrophy and I had to teach myself how to walk again. I couldn’t sit still though. I had two young boys to take care of. I only took off six months from work. I did dialysis during the week and on the weekends, I continued my massages slowly gaining my muscle strength back.
During a two year period, I had to establish other means of income to support myself and my children. I came up with the name Les Meilleurs Masseuse and Chandelles which means “The Best Massage and Candles” as my business name. I started selling candles, and that part of my business began to take off. I received so much love and support from family, friends, coworkers. It inspired me to take a chance on myself. I slowly began to add other products such as soaps, bath bombs and masks.
January 9th, 2017, I received my kidney transplant I was determined to become the best version of myself. While working on my health I continued to build my business and certifications. Since 2017 I have completed eight new massage certifications & three new licenses which include Pure Sculpt Cryosculpting, Maderoterapia(wood sculpt), and Ultrasonic Cavitation Radio Frequency Laser Lipo.
As of today, I am working on building more clientele and marketing my business. Enjoying life and what I do. I am blessed to have a career in the things I love.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has not been a smooth road. My journey has had many ups and downs. Health-wise and Financial-wise. But, with me going through this kidney transplant it has taught me to be patient and ride through the hard times as well as the good. The bad times don’t last forever.

I am most known for my massages. I have received many compliments on my skills and techniques as a massage therapist.
I am most proud of my authenticity and ability to still be able to learn new things in each one of my crafts. I will forever be a student as well as a leader.
The thing that sets me apart from other Massage Therapists/Body Contour Specialists is adversity and skills. There is no one specific group of people that I cater to. I am myself. And with 10 years massage underneath my belt. It is the foundation of the licenses I have acquired. Knowing and understanding anatomy. With a little funky twist to it.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My best childhood memory. I can’t say I have one. I was pretty much a regular kid not really thinking about much. I grew up in Frankfurt, Germany. I remember growing up there and playing with the kids. The cultural difference from Germany to America moving here.
