Today we’d like to introduce you to Darcel White-Moreno.
Darcel, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
As an artist, I’ve always loved the ability to create in different ways. As an actress and a stunt performer, I can be creative vocally and physically. Being an Interior Designer and The Queen of Upholstery allows me to be creative while expressing myself through art, furniture, lighting, paint and all things in between while telling a story to make other people happy. Of course, actors aren’t on set 24/7, so I decided to pursue a life in the field of designing. I started decorating my own spaces, building chairs and photographing them, then posting the images to get a feel from the general public. Four years ago, we were decorating one space at a time; we now have contracts designing complete residential and commercial spaces for everyday people.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Statistics state that 50% of small businesses fail during the first five years. Beginning a company takes guts. We have the added pressure of the statistics before we start. My struggle is relocating here to a larger market and getting the brand noticed with all of the hustle and bustle that Texas offers. The great thing is that I appeal to everyday working people.

Bronzed SUGAR Designs is an Interior Design Company that translates your vision from Concept to Completion into a reality by understanding your lifestyle and defining a story for your residential or commercial space.
What we do: Simply put, you tell us your likes, dislikes, desires, and then you relax. We are completely staffed with the best! From electricians to painters and a group of creatives to give you that star-studded reveal.
We pride ourselves in creating dream spaces for everyday working people. Everyone deserves a space to be proud of, to relax in or to entertain. We have the ability to transform spaces within one day!
Bronzed SUGAR is home of the SUGAR Wall (Glitter Wall). With Interior Design, we provide Custom Furniture, Paint, Wall Murals, Closet Organizing, and Accessorizing.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I don’t believe in luck. I believe in energy and my world being cyclical… Ebb and flow.
I give positive energy, I speak daily affirmations, I aid my community and I care about things that truly matter. So with that being said, I’m only reaping what I’ve sown. Everyday isn’t amazing but those amazing times will come back around because it has too.
